SUNDAY <https://mcusercontent.com/6df05bfd2eaa0ab6bf92aa5cf/images/679e9d32-321f-9518-5097-f90e6cd1784c.jpg> PROGRESSIVE TRACKS with Mike “ProgTracks” Pollack Sunday 5-6am and Monday 9-10pm Mike has been playing “All the music your spouse can’t stand” for over 9 years now. You’ll hear what’s new in the world of Progressive Rock, with a touch of Fusion, Psych/Space, Avant, and Desert/Doom thrown into his aural stew. Shows often feature “Golden Tracks Albums” which, of course, will be from 1972 throughout this year! December 18 / 19 “PROGmas 2022" Mike has concocted another of his nonconformist Progmas shows which require a bit of tolerance and, um, thick skin. Because 91.9 ain't 106.5, y'know. December 25/26 “Last Gasp of 2022" Mike will try his best to exhaust the 2022 new music backlog in preparation for a Best of Prog 2022 show early in the new year. There's still a lot of great new music to be heard! <https://mcusercontent.com/6df05bfd2eaa0ab6bf92aa5cf/images/fe3793aa-3be3-1ba8-4c80-30c0c990e8be.jpg> OUR TOWN with host Maryanne McNellis Alternating Tuesdays and repeats the following Sunday, both 12:30-1pm December 18 Nancy Erley: Sailor and Global Adventurer Maryanne interviews Nancy Erley, a remarkable sailor who has circumnavigated the globe twice. She grew up in the Midwest, but Girl Scout membership ignited the dream of becoming a sailor. Her main passion at the University of Washington was the sailing team, although she did study enough to graduate. One adventure led to another until sailing around the world became an achievable dream. Each round-the-world sail took five years. The all-female team had amazing and occasionally terrifying adventures. There was the night near the top of Australia when the sea was alive with poisonous snakes. No one slept that night! Nancy remains quite active in the boating community here and regularly speaks at industry events. She also teaches many classes, specializing in teaching female students. December 27 Mitch the Trapper In this reprise airing, Maryanne interviews Mitch Draper, aka “Mitch the Trapper.” Otters devastating your boat? Raccoons nesting under your deck, trying to make lunchmeat of your cat? There is now a licensed Wildlife Control Officer for Jefferson & Clallam Counties. Contrary to popular belief it is ILLEGAL to capture a wild animal and drive it miles away. State research has determined that about 90% of such relocated animals starve a slow, painful death. Mitch is licensed and tries every humane method possible to get rid of the animals — loud music, strong smelling peppers, etc. Sometimes there is a “final solution.” but even that is tightly regulated by the state. Mitch is a local guy, grew up in Brinnon, and has hunted since he was a kid. Now his hunting has become professional.
