Barbara:
I realize the availability of hte hearing examiner ultimately controls. However, it is obvious that the preparation
or status of the applicant controls whether a specific date scheduied before the hearing examiner will control.
Why is this courtesy not accorded to the pubiic, particularly those that have commented?

Again, I want to know why my right to comment is less important than the PLA's application that I consider an
illegal procedure to adopt an illegal land use. I am left with the strong impression that I am viewed as a nuisance
and PLA the white knight bringing economic development to the County. What happened to the importance of
property rights, a matter recognized under the GMA at RCW 36.70A.020(6)? I don't ask for preference but parity
would be helpful.

Les,
Many people have commented and you are only one of many members of the public who have commented. It is
not County policy to schedule hearings based upon the availability of each citizen Hearing scheduling is
primarily based upon the schedule of the HE and the County and, of course, the applicant - that is challenge
enough. Remember Jefferson County is only one aspect of anyone HE's cases.
Respectfully,
Barbara Nightingale M.MA, MAS.
