Ms. Nightengale:
At the hearing examiner public hearing on Nov 3rd, I raised the issue of water
calculations for this 120 unit complex. You mentioned that the water was calculated like
any other residential unit. As I mentioned, I object to this project being termed as
residential.
My understanding of the resididential water (and sewer) calculation is as follows:
120 units X 200 gallons / day / unit = 24,000 gallons / day.
In my opinion, this calculation is very low given the commercial nature of this project and
the pools - one swimming pool, three spas, and one kiddie pool as mentioned in the public
hearing.
I would respectfully request that this water calculation be revised to include the pool
usage including daily splash and evaporation. Given this revised calculation, my guess is
that this would be far in excess of the 24,000 originally calculated by Olympic Water and
Sewer District which is owned by PLA - the applicant of this project.
