The Village Council is pleased to announce that Dave McDearmid has been appointed to replace Jim Moffitt, who recently retired, as PLVC President for the current term, which runs through
our 2023 elections in October.

My wife Tam and I bought our retirement home in Port Ludlow in 2009. Born in Oakland, California and raised in the Diablo Valley, I graduated from San Jose State with a Business Management
degree. I started work for Kaiser Aerospace, went to Kaiser Engineers, back to Kaiser Aerospace & Electronics (subsequently bought by Rockwell) and retired 40 years later. Most of my
career was in the defense industry and provided me opportunities in production planning and control, administration, proposal management, pricing, and contracts management. It also
provided me opportunities to work to common goals in two joint ventures building collaborative relationships with competing companies.
Since retiring to Port Ludlow, I have been active with the Village Council as Chairman of the Holiday Lights and Community Development Committees and providing volunteer support to the
Movie Nights and several other events. I am also active in the Port Ludlow Fly Fishers Club, serving the past 7 years as their president. There is not nearly the free time I anticipated
there to be in retirement, but I look forward to serving on the Village Council Board as it works to protect, preserve, promote, and unify this lovely Village in the Woods by the Bay
we’re lucky enough to call home.
