HomeMy WebLinkAboutHousing Fund BoardJEFFERSON COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AGENDA REQUEST TO: Board of County Commissioners FROM: Carolyn Gallaway, Clerk of the Board DATE: January 3, 2022 SUBJECT: Discussion and Potential Action re: Approval of 2023 Fund 148, Fund 149 and Supplemental 1590 Funding Recommendations STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Discussion and Potential Action re: Approval of 2023 Fund 148, Fund 149 and Supplemental 1590 Funding Recommendations. ANALYSIS: The Housing Fund Board (HFB) met on October 26, 2022 at their Regular Meeting and then again on November 2, 2022 at their Special Meeting to review nine Request for Proposals that were received for Fund 148 Affordable Housing and Fund 149 Homeless Housing. After review of the proposals, the HFB members approved recommending to the BOCC, almost all of the projects at 75.66% from Fund 148 and Fund 149. Another motion was also approved that requested the Board of County Commissioners look at funding the remainder of these applications in full, as allowed, from 1590 funds available. The BOCC declined to take -action during their November 21, 2022 meeting after learning that a Supplemental 1590 RFP would need to be issued prior to authorizing funds. A Supplemental 1590 RFP was issued on December 7, 2022. The HFB met again on December 28, 2022 and reviewed previous proposals for Fund 148, Fund 149 and the new proposals for Supplemental 1590. FISCAL IMPACT: Fund 148: $102,000, Fund 149: $518,500, and Supplemental 1590 Funds: $250,000 RECOMMENDATION: Approve a MOTION to approve the funding recommendations of the Housing Fund Board as outlined in the table on the Agenda Request (next page).
