BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
AGENDA REQUEST
TO: Board of County Commissioners
FROM: Carolyn Gallaway, Clerk of the Board
DATE: January 3, 2022
SUBJECT: Discussion and Potential Action re: Approval of 2023 Fund 148, Fund
149 and Supplemental 1590 Funding Recommendations
STATEMENT OF ISSUE:
Discussion and Potential Action re: Approval of 2023 Fund 148, Fund 149 and Supplemental 1590
Funding Recommendations.
ANALYSIS:
The Housing Fund Board (HFB) met on October 26, 2022 at their Regular Meeting and then again
on November 2, 2022 at their Special Meeting to review nine Request for Proposals that were
received for Fund 148 Affordable Housing and Fund 149 Homeless Housing. After review of the
proposals, the HFB members approved recommending to the BOCC, almost all of the projects at
75.66% from Fund 148 and Fund 149. Another motion was also approved that requested the Board
of County Commissioners look at funding the remainder of these applications in full, as allowed,
from 1590 funds available.
The BOCC declined to take -action during their November 21, 2022 meeting after learning that a
Supplemental 1590 RFP would need to be issued prior to authorizing funds. A Supplemental 1590
RFP was issued on December 7, 2022.
The HFB met again on December 28, 2022 and reviewed previous proposals for Fund 148, Fund
149 and the new proposals for Supplemental 1590.
FISCAL IMPACT: Fund 148: $102,000, Fund 149: $518,500, and Supplemental 1590 Funds: $250,000
RECOMMENDATION:
