Subject: Change Order No. 6, JUMP! Project at HJ Carroll County Park,
Chimacum, WA.
Statement of Issue: Authorization of Change Order No. 6 to the contract with Interwest
Construction Inc. (ICI) for the construction of the JUMP! Project; a new all-inclusive
playground at HJ Carroll County Park.
Analysis/Strategic Goals/Pro's Et Con's: This Change Order No. 6 provides for final
reconciliation of the contract amount to reflect the actual bid item quantities used on
the project. The reconciliation includes underruns on ten Bid Items and overruns on
five.
Fiscal Impact/Cost Benefit Analysis: This change order will increase the contract
amount by $5,105.22, from $775,516.93 to $780,622.15. Construction is funded through
a combination of a $500,000 RCO Grant, a Jefferson County Capital Improvement Fund
contribution of $550,000, and other grants, pledges and cash donations.
Recommendation: Public Works recommends that the Board execute (2) Change Order
No. 6 documents with ICI and return (1) to Public Works for further processing.
