Never met with a legislator before? Don't worry, we will make sure you have everything you need! The event will include: * Training on how to talk with legislators * Meetings with elected officials * An event around lunch time with briefings from legislators on committees This year is an exciting time for our outdoors! The Governor recently released his Capital Budget proposal and included 120 million for the WWRP - a historic increase! However, we have seen a rise in demand in outdoor recreation and the work needed to keep up with that demand in habitat restoration and conservation. We believe that it is more important than ever to urge the legislature fund the WWRP fully this biennium. Your legislators need to hear from you about why this program needs full funding, and why the future of our outdoors matter. This event will be followed by an in person reception in Olympia on February 2nd, 2023 at the Governor's Mansion. The deadline to register for either event is January 26th!
