Dear Jefferson County Commissioners,
I wanted to thank you again for supporting our campaign recognizing the inherent rights of the Southern Resident Orcas!
I have to share that during the meeting, I received texts from so many people who were blown away by your compassion and action! We appreciated that you each shared why you supported
the proclamation and actions you'd take to save these beautiful relatives of ours! Honestly, the meeting was one that has many of us wishing we lived in Port Townsend!
We're now working with members of the Pierce County Council who will hopefully follow your lead. They may be in touch with you. It seems that once one council is able to take this leap,
others will hopefully follow.
My thanks to each of you for your compassion and your leadership!
