The Governor’s budget only included $120 million for the WWRP. I know, this sounds like a lot of money. And indeed, it is the highest level ever requested by a Governor. But, it leaves many communities out, all across the state. Including yours. That's right, there's a project in your own legislative district that won't receive funding unless we get the Legislature to go higher. Help us advocate for full funding this year, for your community and all the others around the state that need this support to make their outdoor dreams into realities! Don't worry, we will make sure you have everything you need! The event includes: * Training on how to talk with legislators * Talking points and lots of information * Meetings with elected officials * Briefings from legislators on budget committees This year is an exciting time for our outdoors! We have seen a rise in demand in outdoor recreation and the work needed to address the impacts of that demand in habitat restoration and conservation. We believe that it is more important than ever to urge the legislature fund the WWRP fully this biennium. Your legislators need to hear from you about why this program needs full funding, and why the future of our outdoors matter. This event will be followed by an in person reception in Olympia on February 2nd, 2023 at the Governor's Mansion (limited capacity due to COVID restrictions, so register today!).
