In the Matter of Amending the Salary Schedule
"ATTACHMENT A" for the Elected Offices RESOLUTIONNO 01-06
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners set the salaries of the elected positions
of Jefferson County by passage of Resolution No. 43-98 which allows these positions to have a
uniform system to provide equitable compensation; and,
WHEREAS, after a review ofthe salary schedule Resolution No. 83-03 was
adopted updating Exhibit A to make the salaries for the Elected Officials consistent and
comparable to the salaries paid similar positions in other counties; and,
WHEREAS, other than the addition of a step 9 to the matrix, there was no annual
adjustment made to the compensation schedule for Elected Officials for 2004 or 2005; and,
WHEREAS, after review by the County Administrator and the Board of
Commissioners it has been determined that an adjustment is necessary in order that salaries for
these positions be treated with the same consistency and parity as other employees.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOL VED, by the Board of County Commissioners
that the annual salaries of the Assessor, Auditor, Clerk, Treasurer, Sheriff, and Prosecuting
Attorney of the County shall be set at the rates as established in the attached, updated EXHffiIT
"A."
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED, that the Board of County Commissioners reserves
the right to make adjustments to this matrix during the budget year as they feel is justified and
necessary.
