Naming a Private Road X
Green Mountain Road,
Deer Run Road or
River Ridge Road X
WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works has received a petition (Exhibit "A") to name
a private road, as shown on attached map (Exhibit "B"), either Green Mountain Road or Deer Run
Road or River Ridge Road; and
WHEREAS, the petitioner is a property owner on this road; and
WHEREAS, the petitioner wishes to establish this road name, pursuant to the Jefferson
County 911 Emergency Locator System Ordinance Number 2-0401-91, to allow for addressing
along the road; and
WHEREAS, research has shown that there are currently no addresses assigned at this
milepost number; and
WHEREAS, notification was sent to interested parties; and
WHEREAS, the first and second choices are names that are closely similar to road names
already in use; and
WHEREAS, the Jefferson County Fire District #2 opposes those names which are closely
similar; and
WHEREAS, no negative responses were received for the third choice of River Ridge
Road; and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the road be named River Ridge Road.
ADOPTED THIS 1st DAY OF MAY, 2006.
