WHEREAS, the County has received a petition (Exhibit "A") to name a private road,
located at milepost 4.17 left on Cape George Road and being 0.05 miles in length (Exhibit "B"),
Superior Court or Riddle Road or Lois Lane; and
WHEREAS, the petitioner is a property owner on this road; and
WHEREAS, the petitioner wishes to establish this road name, pursuant to the Jefferson
County 911 Emergency Locator System Ordinance Number 2-0401-91, to allow for addressing
along the road; and
WHEREAS, research has shown that the petitioner is the only party addressed at this
milepost number; and
WHEREAS, notification was sent to agencies and adjacent property owners; and
WHEREAS, one adjacent property owner responded in support of the first name choice;
and
WHEREAS, no negative responses were received for the first name choice of Superior
Court; and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the road be named Superior Court,
ADOPTED THIS 5th DAY OF JUNE, 2006.
