The State Auditor’s Office (SAO) is required to ensure that all Board members are notified and invited to the upcoming “Audit Exit” meeting; however, it is up to HCCC and its Board of
Directors to decide if someone will be designated to attend on behalf of the Board. Board member attendance is not required.
Board members: Please REPLY by 5 p.m. on January 26, 2023, if you plan to attend. The “Audit Exit” meeting has been scheduled by the SAO for Monday, January 30 at 11:30 a.m. If we
have quorum (3 or more Board members), we will send notice to the Board Meeting Notice Distribution Group of the meeting 24 hours in advance (i.e. by 11:30 a.m. on January 27), and
we will make arrangements to offer a physical location for attendees in accordance with requirements of the Open Public Meetings Act (OPMA).
HCCC staff will attend this meeting, and HCCC Executive Director, Scott Brewer, will provide an update at a future Board meeting.

Dear Board of Directors,
We have completed our audit of the Hood Canal Coordinating Council for the period covering July 1, 2018 through June 30, 2021, and wanted to share our preliminary results with you. We
are inviting you to attend an exit conference with your staff that we have scheduled for 11:30 a.m. on January 30, 2023, via teleconference using Microsoft Teams. To attend the meeting,
please contact Jennifer Poole for the meeting link.
We believe participation at the exit conference by you and others charged with the management and governance of the Council is an essential part of our audit process. It gives you an
opportunity to hear our conclusions and discuss with us the resolution of any audit issues.
Please note that if a quorum of board members attend the exit conference, the Council is responsible for ensuring requirements of the Open Public Meetings Act are met.
If you have any questions or matters that you would like to discuss with us before the exit conference, feel free to contact me via email or phone.
