Jefferson Transit Announces New Trolley
for the #11 Port Townsend Shuttle Route
In 2019, Jefferson Transit Authority (JTA) proudly unveiled a plan to purchase a road trolley for the #11 Shuttle route which services the historic downtown and uptown of Port Townsend.
The trolley-replica bus resembles an old-style tram. The design complements the historically significant Victorian seaport community and creates an experience while traveling through
the heart of the city.
JTA is continuously exploring ways to better serve the community. We hope the trolley will encourage the use of public transportation when heading into town. Whether it be to eat at
a local restaurant, shop at one of the many boutiques, or go for a walk on the beach, the trolley will transport you to your destination in style while reducing traffic in our downtown
area as well as assisting in our decarbonization commitment.
Passengers can ride for zero fare daily, Monday through Saturday, with rides departing every half an hour from Haines Place Park and Ride. We hope that locals and visitors alike will
enjoy this new addition to the community.

to its fleet.
