HomeMy WebLinkAboutLast Call ARPA proposals received JEFFERSON COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS REGULAR AGENDA REQUEST TO: Board of County Commissioners FROM: Mark McCauley, County Administrator DATE: February 13, 2023 SUBJECT: BRIEFING re: American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Last Call Request for Proposals STATEMENT OF ISSUE: At the January 9,2023 Board of County Commissioners meeting the Board directed that staff prepare a simple request for proposals(RFP)for projects the Board could consider in distributing the remaining ARPA funds it expects to receive sometime this year. Staff issued the RFP through a press release and by posting it on the County website home page. The RFP listed the Board's priorities, set a range of$20,0004100,000 for the requests and a February 10,2023 deadline for proposals. ANALYSIS: Staff developed a ranking spreadsheet,attached,which lists all the requesting organizations,brief project descriptions and the requested dollar amounts. Staff is recommending that the Board review the ranking spreadsheet and conduct a general discussion regarding the projects and the process and direct staff to bring the spreadsheet and projects back to the Board on February 21,2023 for a more in-depth discussion to include ranking the proposals and allocating funding. FISCAL IMPACT: This request has no fiscal impact.
