Subject: Update on Planning Process for Solid Waste Facility Replacement
Statement of Issue
Public Works staff are working with a consultant and a task force appointed by the
Board of County Commissioners on the planning for replacement of current solid
waste facilities.
Analysis/Strategic Goals/Pro's Et Con's:
The planning team has met twice and has developed a Charter and Workplan. This is a
good inflection point to update the BoCC on the planning process.
Fiscal Impact/Cost Benefit Analysis:
The facility replacement planning process is budgeted for in the 2022-2023 Solid
Waste budget.
Recommendation:
Schedule a workshop with the BOCC for staff to review the planning process to date
and answer any questions the BoCC may have.
