WELL ON SITE: The existing abandoned wells must be decommissioned in accordance with WAC 173-160-381: “Any well which is
unusable, abandoned, or whose use has been permanently discontinued, or which is in such disrepair that its continued use is
impractical or is an environmental, safety or public health hazard shall be decommissioned”. Marrowstone Island has a sole source
aquifer that is sea water intruded and has special protection standards. Use of the water for non potable purposes has been restricted
since the public water supply became available. Contact Jefferson County Public Health or a licensed well driller to obtain directions for
decommissioning. See SEP88-00154 for photos and well tag info from ECY on the 1990 well. No information on the prior existing well
down near the house (see septic files for well locations). SFP 2021

Geotechnical Report 021212014, north of proposed BLA. A geotechnical report prepared by Stratum Group dated April 18, 2015 and
geotechnical report addendum dated September 21, 2015 was submitted.
CARA:
Both parcels contain following aquifer recharge areas: SARPA and Susceptible. SARPA + SUSC requires nitrogen BMPS but this
application would not require this regulation. Property is categorized as SUSC along shore and tidelands.
