from tribes, state agencies, local governments, nonprofits, and businesses, along with concerned residents, lend their voices in support of action to save Puget Sound and uphold tribal
treaty rights.
After a few years of meeting virtually, we’re once again gathering a big group to make the trip to Washington, D.C. for Puget Sound Day on the Hill. This year’s events are scheduled
for May 8-11, 2023. We will meet with key decision makers in Congress and federal agencies to express our gratitude for all that’s been accomplished and let them know the benefits a
healthy Puget Sound brings to the entire nation.

parts of the PUGET SOS Act and substantially increasing funding for recovery. Those goals were achieved in part thanks to the many advocates for Puget Sound who have shown up – and
spoken up – at our Puget Sound Day on the Hill events over the last seven years. The 2023 event will be an opportunity to celebrate the culmination of that tireless work and emphasize
that we must hold ground and prevent any whittling away of our hard-won progress.

Monday, May 8: Suggested travel day with possible evening welcome reception.
Tuesday, May 9: Small group meetings and/or panels with Members of Congress and agency leaders.
Wednesday, May 10: All-day, large group meetings with Congressional members/staff. Evening reception.
Thursday, May 11: Additional small group meetings in the morning as needed, suggested afternoon departure.
