We write to strongly support the proposed protection of 826 acres of state forests that remain in the DNR timber program within the current boundaries of the Dabob Bay Natural Area.
This proposed intertrust exchange of areas including the Lemonds Forest, Lower Thorndyke Creek, and slopes and forest along the east side of Dabob Bay into the DNR-managed Dabob Bay
Natural Resources Conservation Area will allow these critical lands and habitats to be protected in perpetuity while providing replacement timber lands to the county and its junior
taxing districts.
