We have so much information to share with you all, so I thank you for your time and energy towards this newsletter. We have so much to celebrate from the wrap up of 2022, and so much to work towards in 2023. We just want to take a moment to acknowledge all of the hard work, energy, passion, and commitment of our Network volunteers who made putting this annual report together so easy. Join us Thursday, March 9th at 6:30pm for the Planning Commission meeting to hear final code change amendments and recommendations to the City Council. Meeting Details and Agenda will be found here once available. <https://housingsolutionsnetwork.us17.list-manage.com/track/click?u=38123e1ad2608f9c4e51e6660&id=030d459ee9&e=b56e9d81e8> Our current ask of the City, Planning Commissioners, and Council Members: First, any near-term decisions by the City must support the creation of more permanent affordable housing; Second, there are important affordable housing projects under development that the City must support in every way possible; including local private and non-profit developments; Third, the City needs to create an aggressive comprehensive housing strategy that identifies long-term needs and defines the appropriate resources and steps to get there. Housing Solutions Network is encouraging local renters, homeowners, employers, small and large businesses, and community residents to join in the conversation for the Thursday, March 9th Planning Commission Meeting to hear the final code change amendments that the commission will put forth to the City Council. Council will convene on Monday, March 20th for a first reading, then again on March 27th for second reading and vote. HSN will be there in support of the work carried forth by the staff and commissioners; helping to find more stability and affordability in local zoning codes.
