I strongly support DNR's proposal to protect all 826 acres of state forestland within the Dabob Bay Natural Area boundaries as soon as possible with the Trust Land Transfer program.
I have been to several parcels within the proposed expansion, and I believe it is critical to preserve these old forests and imperiled forest associations.
There are plenty of young plantation style forests in our county to provide funds to the junior taxing districts without needing to log some of the highest conservation value forest
lands we have left. Saving forests like these is the perfect use for the Trust Land Transfer program.
