On Tuesday, we released an update to the Plan that lays out a timeline for restoring the remaining routes (PDF 1MB) <https://lnks.gd/l/eyJhbGciOiJIUzI1NiJ9.eyJidWxsZXRpbl9saW5rX2lkIjoxMDEsInVyaSI6ImJwMjpjbGljayIsImJ1bGxldGluX2lkIjoiMjAyMzAzMDMuNzI2MTg0OTEiLC J1cmwiOiJodHRwczovL3dzZG90LndhLmdvdi9zaXRlcy9kZWZhdWx0L2ZpbGVzLzIwMjMtMDIvV1NGLVNlcnZpY2VSZXN0b3JhdGlvblBsYW4tRmVicnVhcnkyMDIzVXBkYXRlLnBkZiJ9.ZYbQKVmF9Q6dXS7hUOTrIqajXIGv3vD6hUlo4PbE3FI/s/591618619/ br/155516406940-l> and outlines ongoing challenges with maintaining reliable ferry service systemwide. <https://content.govdelivery.com/attachments/fancy_images/WADOT/2023/02/7221350/4599412/srp_crop.jpg> After exceeding 95% reliability over the past three weeks, our Edmonds/Kingston route is now our fourth run to be fully restored. Here are highlights from the update: * Our Edmonds/Kingston run has been fully restored, joining Anacortes/San Juan Islands, Seattle/Bainbridge and Mukilteo/Clinton with at least 95% reliability (as was the case prior to the pandemic, there may still be some sailing cancellations due to crewing or vessel repairs). * We will soon add some addition midday and evening sailings to fill gaps in the two-boat schedule on our Fauntleroy/Vashon/Southworth route and expect to begin a trial of pre-pandemic three-boat weekday service in April. * We anticipate having crewing available to restore our Seattle/Bremerton run to pre-pandemic two-boat service in October. In the meantime, we will add additional morning and midday sailings as soon as crewing and a vessel are available, restoring partial two-boat service before the start of summer. * We are unlikely to have the crewing available to trial pre-pandemic two-boat service on our Port Townsend/Coupeville route until spring 2024. * Due to a lack of boats, specifically a vessel certified to sail internationally, we won’t be able to restore service on our Anacortes/Friday Harbor/Sidney, British Columbia run until at least spring 2030. We also issued our latest Progress Report (PDF 631KB) <https://lnks.gd/l/eyJhbGciOiJIUzI1NiJ9.eyJidWxsZXRpbl9saW5rX2lkIjoxMDIsInVyaSI6ImJwMjpjbGljayIsImJ1bGxldGluX2lkIjoiMjAyMzAzMDMuNzI2MTg0OTEiLCJ1c mwiOiJodHRwczovL3dzZG90LndhLmdvdi9zaXRlcy9kZWZhdWx0L2ZpbGVzLzIwMjMtMDIvV1NGLVNlcnZpY2VSZXN0b3JhdGlvblBsYW5Qcm9ncmVzc1JlcG9ydC0yOEZlYnJ1YXJ5MjAyMy5wZGYifQ.NvaV7NqD-IC6_YzO2inB7iH1b7jl7Wu62FsdDgUeyvU/s /591618619/br/155516406940-l> on Tuesday and will continue to do that every other week so the public can stay up to date on where we are with restoration. I know these updates are frustrating, especially to those who rely on our unrestored routes. While not as quick as we’d all like, we are making progress in reliably restoring service and this is why we are now able to estimate route-by-route restoration timelines.
