SUBJECT: Jefferson County Marine Resources Committee Annual Report
STATEMENT OF ISSUE:
The Jefferson County Marine Resources Committee (MRC) seeks to provide an annual report to
keep the BoCC informed about current grants, 2022 accomplishments and plans for 2023. This
presentation gives the BoCC an opportunity to provide input and guidance regarding marine
resources education, outreach and nearshore restoration activities.
ANALYSIS:
N/A
FISCAL IMPACT:
No fiscal impact. Jefferson County receives grant funds for this program from the Northwest
Straits Commission(Dept of Ecology) and the Northwest Straits Foundation.
RECOMMENDATION:
A 30-minute presentation on the MRC's 2022 accomplishments and plans for 2023.
