I am a landowner in the Dabob area and am in full support of DNR'S proposed protection of the state forestlands in the Dabob Bay Natural Area. It is so important to keep the water quality
in the bay as pristine as possible. It's one of the most pristine areas in Puget Sound. We've done a lot of work on Tarboo Creek to make the water quality better and supporting these
forest lands helps protect all our work in the area. We've seen how much a clear cut can make a difference. We saw so much silt run off there was in Tarboo Creek after Pope clear
cut in the Tarboo hills. After all the work that has been done on this watershed it just makes sense to continue to protect Dabob Bay where so much work has been done to help preserve
water quality.
