This is a huge victory! However, we are not done yet, the House is still deliberating over their budgets and your voices are needed to encourage the House to meet this funding level or even exceed it. There are projects in your district that strongly depend on this funding level. Even a small decrease in funding could put those projects in jeopardy! In this email you see your Twins Nearshore & West Twin River Project pictured. This project provides a unique conservation opportunity for shoreline, river, riparian, coastal wetland and forested upland habitat on the Strait of Juan de Fuca. The area houses highly productive Coho and winter steelhead spawning and rearing habitat, and supports prey production habitat for southern resident killer whales, salmon migratory habitat, intact eelgrass and kelp beds, and forage fish spawning and rearing habitat. A large amount of wildlife is sustained and flourishing here! Take action and ensure the acquisition of the Twins Nearshore & West Twin River Project happens by contacting your legislators today and encouraging them to write to the House budget leaders and writers!
