Lodging Tax Advisory Committee(LTAC)
Special Meeting Minutes October 28,2022— 1:00 p.m.
Jefferson County Commissioners Chambers
(Virtual Meeting)
Members: Chair Heidi Eisenhour, Diana Smeland, Shelly Leavens, Amy Neil,Kevin Wooley
Staff: LTAC Clerk Adiel McKnight
Call to Order: Chair Heidi Eisenhour called the meeting to order at the appointed time. Members
Leavens, Smeland,Neil and Wooley participated in the meeting remotely.
Public Comment Period: Chair Eisenhour called for public comments. No comments were
received.
Approval of Special Meeting Minutes of August 16,2022: Chair Eisenhour asked for a motion to
approve the Special Meeting Minutes of August 16, 2022 with the amendment of adding the last
name of Shepherd to the Finance Manager's name. Member Smeland moved that aforementioned
motion. Member Neil seconded the motion which carried by a unanimous vote.
Welcome new Committee Member Kevin Wooley. The committee welcomed Member Wooley.

Discussion re: 2023 Lodging Tax Fund Allocations: After discussion, the consensus of the
committee was to fund the Lodging Tax Advisory Committee grant recommendations at $998,041, if
funding is available at that level. If funding is not available at that level,their recommendation is to
fund the proposals at$953,605. Staff will consult with County Administrator Mark McCauley.

Chair Eisenhour called for public comments,two comments were received and the committee
addressed the comments.
Chair Eisenhour moved to fund the Lodging Tax Advisory Committee grant recommendation at
$998,041 if funding is available at that level after a consultation with the County Administrator. If
funding is not available at that level, LTAC recommends to fund the proposals as listed today at
$953,605. Member Neil seconded the motion which carried by a unanimous vote.
