I just got off the phone with Dan Pierson Senior Vice President, Global Diving & Salvage, Inc. See Vcard below. He was very positive about our proposal, and if needed could supply both boats. He does not think the height of tide for the Hood Canal boat ramps will be a problem but agreed it is something to look at early in the planning process. I told him we did not need a teaching moment while the patient waits in the back of an aid car. I informed him that I am handing this off to chief Black and stepping aside, but will make myself available if it helps. I recommend that a followup phone call today to Dan will reinforce our interest as a government entity and not some retired sea captain who can barely read or write. Very respectfully, Peter Joseph Capt, USCG (Ret) Master Mariner(Ret) Cell: 360-301-2086 6 Heron Road Port Ludlow, WA 98365
