Dear Commissioners,
I'm concerned about the availability of toxic waste disposal in Jefferson County. It used to be inconvenient to dispose of toxic waste since only one facility was available at the boat
haven on Friday morning.
However, it is now extremely inconvenient since disposal is only available for 12 hours a year, on three specific days at different locations. (https://jeffersoncountysolidwaste.com/hazardous-waste/)
. It appears there is no disposal available in Western Jefferson County.
This inconvenience implies that Jefferson County doesn't take toxic waste seriously. It encourages people to dispose of it by simply including it with regular trash.
Can something be done to make this disposal more convenient?
