Subject: Bid Opening, Supply of Aggregate for Bituminous Surface
Treatment in Calendar Year 2023
Statement of Issue: A request to publicly open and read submitted bids at 10:45
A.M., or shortly thereafter, as indicated in the Call for Bids for the Supply of
Aggregate for BST Programs in 2023.
Analysis/Strategic Goals: The Board issued a Call for Bids for the above products on
March 20, 2023. Bid invitations have been duly advertised in accordance with
competitive bidding requirements.
Fiscal Impact: Purchase of aggregate products for County BST Programs is accounted
for in the Department of Public Works Budgets for Road Operations in calendar years
2023 and 2024.
Recommendation: The Board is requested to have sealed bids for the above contract
opened and read publicly, and then have the Public Works Department review and
check the bids for completeness and accuracy, and then provide recommendation to
the Board for further actions at a later date.
