Dear folks,
I have been in touch with Jeff Johnson of ORCAA as per Greg Brotherton's recommendation. He has now informed me of a stakeholder's meeting about $3million available for Climate Pollution
Reduction planning grants that then may lead to additional implementation grants.
Unfortunately, I will be in transit from Moab to SLC that day, so will likely miss the meeting. Please let me know if one or more of you will be able to tune in. And pass this along
to anyone else who may be interested.

Here’s some information about a meeting next week regarding Washington’s plans for the IRA Climate Pollution Reduction Grants. Hopefully some of this funding can help support Jefferson
County’s efforts. Please forward to your colleagues who might be interested. According to Anna, the invitation went out to “as many cities, counties, AQDs, and transit agencies as
possible.”

As many of you are aware, the state is preparing its application for EPA’s Climate Pollution Reduction Grant <https://www.epa.gov/inflation-reduction-act/climate-pollution-reduction-grants>
. The state’s plan will play a large role in determining the eligibility of applicants and types of programs for subsequent CPRG implementation grants (which will be roughly $4.5B in
grant funding).
As we develop our work plan, we want to ensure that we are capturing your organization’s role and policy priorities, so that you all are eligible to apply for the implementation grants
later in the year.
Please join us on Thursday, April 13th @ 1:00pm to learn about the state’s plans and share your policy and program priorities. Please use the Teams link below.
