Do not open attachments or click on links if you are not expecting them. ________________________________ Hi Greg\Heidi, Back in December 17th 2022, Skookums deaf fork lift truck driver drove into my stationary vehicle at the public recycle in Port Townsend, despite hitting my horn and everyone else hearing the situation. He couldn’t hear me and continued to drive into my car with a loaded fork lift and caused $1490.02 damage and now as of April 19th 2023, I still cant get them to cooperate with dealing with my loss. That facility is full of children and elderly, and this is a very dangerous situation despite the labor laws allowing deaf drivers of fork lifts It started with the local Skookum contact (Stacey Hall) giving me false information saying that they just needed an estimate and they would pay, and then stone walling me. I finally contacted the county solid waste and they provided the name of their contact (Alysa Thomas). Her comment was that “we need to do our own investigation” but did nothing then refused to answer our calls. Finally my husband drove to Skookum headquarters and spoke with the CFO (Denise Stinocher) who said she would assist. The company did create an insurance claim on 3/16/2023, but that was a month ago and the one occasion that we could make contact with them, their comment was that “we need to do our own investigation” (exact comment as from Alysa earlier) but has done nothing. Now Skookum and their insurance are refusing to answer our calls or return our voice mails. I have emailed the CFO again, but she is no longer responding to our contact either. Due to the rain in Washington sate, I had to get my roof fixed to protect my car from extensive water damage, but I can’t get my bumper fixed as the local company (Pat’s Auto Care) has already had to deal with Skookums initial non payment of debts managed via Alysa Thomas (2006 Pontiac Montana SV6 in November 2022 $1721) and refuses to work on my car without knowing that they will get payment from the known debtor Skookum. Since Skookum and their insurance company is apparently refusing to compensate for my roof damage, I need your assistance in dealing with Skookum to get compensated for my roof and pre payment to my auto repair shop so that they will repair my car without having to deal with Skookum’s non payment history. I am writing to Greg as the Skookum contract contact at the recycle and Heidi as my commissioner. For reference, Skookums mission statement states: Our Goal: Provide the safest work sites in the nation. We deliver the next level of safety, environmental responsibility and safety leadership to our teams. We are all accountable for our actions - accountable to each other and accountable for our workplace. Thank you for any assistance in moving this forward. Eleanor Shinsky 221 Loftus Rd
