Do not open attachments or click on links if you are not expecting them. ________________________________ Hello my name is Terry Du Beau (she/her) age 68 I have lived in Port Townsend since June of 2016. I am a teacher and have worked at Swan School and presently Heartberries Playschool. I have had three nervous breakdowns due to being diagnosed bi-polar or manic depressive. The most recent one was October 2021 to October of this last year. But this recovery was different due to the use of entheogens. My childhood began with its issues: my mother who was born in 1931 like many women of her generation was given speed and it's counterpart during her four pregnancies to balance her weight. Doctors prescribed this so I was born addicted and this created a bipolar personality. I also had many forms of sexual abuse including sex trafficking..I speak of these not to trigger anyone or bring in a shock value but to create a foundation. This recovery was different in a very profound way I used plant medicine under the guidelines of a trained person. I along with my psychiatric nurse from Discovery Bay mental health used microdosing to help lay a foundation of balance and calm in my system. I also did guided journeys where I was able to go into the roots of so much pain and free myself into a new hope. I no longer need pharmaceuticals which as mentioned with my mother can become addictive and have side effects. Plant medicine has no side effects and when used with a professional and guidance work to heal us from the inside out. I also used the services of Recovery Cafe. Please let Port Townsend like the state of Oregon be the light and shine on with some hope for those of us born into addiction and sexual abuse. Thank you for your time and consideration. Sincerely, Terry Du Beau 406.274.7606 you have my permission to use my letter to be entered into public records. . . . . .
