Brent, I am sending you my request to cancel my SDR permit and an immediate refund of all fees paid for this permit! My permit number is SDR2023-00069. I was in the office yesterday,
and staff instructed me to make this request by e-mail.
The mental stress caused by your poor management of the Jefferson county CDC is more than my wife and I can bare at this point in our lives. At 68 years old, we don't the time or energy
to wait this shit show out. It is obvious, from our phone conversation, that you care more about the rich elite people moving to our area than the families that have been here for 6
generations!
I contacted the Mason county CDC yesterday with questions regarding development of our lot at lake Cushman. The nice young lady, first apologized, and told me that they couldn't get
me in for an in office site development review for two weeks, and that building permit would take an additional 60 to 90 days to complete. Mason county has a larger population, and
smaller CDC staff then Jefferson county!
We have a life time invested in this community and have been involved in many positive contributions, including 100's of hour spent on public planning comities. The cost of living here
is out of control! We can no longer watch our once wonderful community turn into the Carmel of the northwest!
PS, we won't leave quietly!

I am writing to you today regarding the SDR process. I have been trying since September to move forward with development on our property. A moratorium was imposed a month ahead of adoption
of this new permit process, which was illegal, and stopped my project.! This sent the local contractors into a tail spin, as they had NO direction on how to move forward with planned
projects. All the delays in implementing this process has, unnecessarily, cost contractors and property owners tens of thousands of dollars! This was a personal agenda, not required
by the state or any other agency!
I was told when iI applied for my SDR, it would be done in April. This was an unexpected and expensive delay!!! Today, I called your office to get an update. I was told to expect another
3 months for for my SDR to be processed! What you and the county commissioners have forced on the residents of this county, and your employees, has created an extremely toxic environment
for all. You have left me with no choice, but to contact a land use attorney! I will hold you and the commissioners personally responsible for monetary damages!
