Dear County Commissioners,
I strongly support the decriminalizing of entheogens and urge you all to adopt the resolution put before you at the
April 24th meeting.
The reasons are many and compelling, whether it is allowing dying patients to relieve their anxiety about death, or being allowed (as an adult) to explore and create relationships
with these plants and their various and unique properties.
Adults should be able to choose whether or not they want to use entheogens without fear of becoming a criminal. This mindset, I believe, comes out of an old paradigm driven by ignorance
and fear. Further, I believe we are missing an opportunity to learn about what these plants have to offer humankind.
