Dear County Commissioners
Kate Dean, Heidi Eisenhour, Greg Brotherton
I’m sure two of the priorities for the Board of Commissioners of Port Townsend, is the health and safety of the community . And as a community member, I wish to thank you.
And in that vein, I strongly support the Resolution in decriminalizing entheogens.
As a local elder, I personally have experienced the positive effects of entheogens in dealing with a lifetime of a Major Depressive Disorder. Far more effectively than the any medications
offered to me by conventional medicine, in over 50 years. And my Medical MD is completely supportive of them.
In future, for both ethical and health equity reasons, these plants should be legalized, and community members must never be denied access to these non-addictive, natural, safe, effective,
affordable and holistic medicines.
