Dear County Commissioners,
I strongly support passing the resolutions on entheogens.
For the last 3 years I have been responsible for all clinical trials in different indications using MDMA-assisted therapy at MPBC, the MAPS Public Benefit Corporation as their Chief
Medical Officer. Through my connections in the psychedelic medicine field I have seen firsthand what entheogens can do in the underserved area of psychiatry as there is a high unmet
medical need in the treatment of mental health problems.
In Jefferson County safe, equitable access to these medicines is important and our community has the capacity to support each other in exploring the healing potential that is so much
needed. Decriminalization will help with the stigma that still exists in the use of these medicines.
