Dear John,
Voting in the Sierra Club’s 2023 Board of Directors election ended at 12 noon EDT today. Based on a vote count carried out by Election Services Co., the independent firm that manages
our annual board election, the Inspectors of the Election report that Shruti Bhatnagar, Rita Harris, David Holtz, Patrick Murphy, and Dave Scott have been elected to serve three-year

A total of 51,539 Sierra Club members voted in the election. Seven members ran for the five board seats up for election. Each of the candidates were selected by a nominating committee,
chaired by Mary Ann Ruiz. There were no candidates running on petition. Marianne Dugan, Mark Walters, and I served as Inspectors of the Election overseeing the electoral process on
behalf of our fellow members.
