Second Bivalent Booster Recommended
for 65+ and Immunocompromised
A second bivalent booster dose of COVID-19 vaccine is now recommended for people 65 and older and for those who are immunosuppressed.
The bivalent booster dose is the same formulation as the first and increases protection against prevalent omicron variants.
Those over 65 should receive a second dose four months after their last booster. Those who are immunosuppressed are eligible for an additional booster as soon as 2 months after their
prior booster.
