Here in St. Louis, we are standing up to a state government that is relentless in finding ways to marginalize our LGBTQIA+ community – transgender youth in particular. We’ve taken the state to court, fighting back against dangerous and unconstitutional gun laws that endanger our communities. And now, we’re battling a state takeover of our city’s public safety system. St. Louis is at a real turning point. And it is women and women of color - including Congresswoman Cori Bush - who are leading the way in this new era of collaborative, forward-thinking governance. All of this is only possible because we stepped up together - grounded by our roots of activism and powerful coalitions that transform government. We shared our courage with one another and built people-power in a way that could not be denied by those fighting for inequality and injustice.
