Rails-to-Trails Conservancy (RTC) and its board of directors will host its summer meeting on June 6 and June 7, 2023, in Sequim, Washington, along the Olympic Discovery Trail, which
is the western terminus of the Great American Rail-Trail®. Key to the meeting are two gatherings to celebrate and honor the leadership for trail and active transportation networks that

Tuesday, June 6—Evening Reception to Celebrate Progress on the Great American Rail-Trail
Join RTC for an evening reception to celebrate the exceptional progress made towards completing the western terminus of the Great American Rail-Trail®, the nation’s first cross-country
trail that will be entirely bikeable across 3,700 miles between Washington State and Washington, D.C.
Representatives from the Peninsula Trails Coalition, Jamestown S’Klallam Tribe, North Kitsap Trails Association, Bainbridge Island Parks and Trails Foundation, and more will join the
celebration of progress that’s been made and the momentum behind efforts to complete the trail from the Puget Sound to the Pacific.

Doppelt Family Rail-Trail Champion. Over decades, leaders and advocates have built the state’s trail system, helping to lay the groundwork for completing the Great American Rail-Trail®—the
nation’s first entirely bikeable trail across the country. Gov. Inslee has cemented the state’s leadership with his steadfast commitment to Washington’s trails, work that began when
he was a state legislator and a member of the U.S. House of Representatives.

Note: For the June 7 luncheon, parking is limited onsite. Those who are able should park at 7 Cedars Hotel & Casino (270756 Highway 101, Sequim, WA 98382). Shuttles will be running frequently
between the hotel and the Red Cedar Hall throughout the event. Those who are interested in walking or biking can take advantage of the Olympic Discovery Trail that connects the two
locations—the distance is about 1 mile.
