--Good afternoon colleagues and valued partners-
As current President of the Jefferson County chamber, I regret to inform you that our Executive Director , Arlene Alen, has accepted another position and is leaving the chamber. While
we have known for several weeks, Arlene has been spending the time ensuring a smooth transition and ensuring the commitments to our members will continue to be met. Arlene has agreed
to be available to assist during the transition and will be on contract to ensure our commitments as Destination Marketing Organization (DMO) for the City of Port Townsend are honored.
Arlene has been with the chamber for the past five years and has helped move the chamber into the 21st Century. The attached Press Release lists her many accomplishments particularly
during the pandemic. i , and the Chamber Board, wish her success in her new position and thank her for her numerous contributions to the business and communities of Jefferson county
and for her commitment to a smooth transition.
While we search for a new executive director, Dana Petrick, realtor and former board member has agreed to serve as Interim Director.
