GiveBIG is Washington’s period of spotlighting nonprofits, like the WWRC, that make our state a better place to live and visit. We’re excited to say we’ve already raised over $5000 of our $12,750 goal through GiveBIG <https://wildliferecreation.us9.list-manage.com/track/click?u=0f4ebc0827fada7e62b54ea21&id=851d2c4a83&e=2cbb6f867b> thanks to our generous supporters; supporters who understand the depth of the impact of our work. We'd love to see you join our GiveBIG community, if you haven't already! Our work to educate leaders and communities in Washington about the WWRP has resulted in a record $120 million in this year’s Capital Budget. What does that mean? It means: 105 more projects receiving funding 32 of Washington’s 39 counties getting more parks, trails, conservation land, and playgrounds like the one below A total of more than 1700 projects funded historically More than $1.9 billion for Washington’s outdoors historically That doesn't happen without our incredible supporters, like you Heidi! The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) used this grant to acquire approximately 115 acres along the Kettle River, develop a primitive launch for non-motorized boats and provide public access to 3.4 miles of shoreline. The property, located approximately ten miles northwest of the community of Curlew, Ferry County, allows WDFW to increase public access to the Kettle River for a variety of non-motorized, water-related recreational activities. The primary recreational opportunities offered by this project are non-motorized boating and shoreline access for fishing, bird watching and fishing. <https://mcusercontent.com/0f4ebc0827fada7e62b54ea21/images/6dc4b19e-7cd2-db79-86ec-f607084c6c70.jpg> Projects like this make our outdoors more accessible to all and are integral to a healthier, greener, and happier Washington.
