Dear Port Townsend friends,
We’re looking forward to seeing all of you at the Maritime Washington Partner Launch Event in Port Townsend tomorrow, Thursday May 4! As a friendly reminder, we’ll meet from 4:00 – 6:00
pm at the Northwest Maritime Center (431 Water St), with drinks and light refreshments provided.
Together, we’ll celebrate the designation of the Maritime Washington National Heritage Area and discuss what it means for Port Townsend and the wider region. We’ll also ask you a few
questions about how this program can help support and spotlight Port Townsend’s maritime community, including:
* What’s a maritime story from Port Townsend that you feel deserves a larger platform?
* What is one program, event, or organization that you’re particularly proud of and would like to share with the rest of Washington?
* What is one big issue you’re struggling with related to preservation and interpretation of maritime heritage?
