Dear Port Townsend friends, A big thank you to all who were able to join the Maritime Washington National Heritage Area last Thursday in PT! An extra special thanks to Jake, Katie, Kate, and the rest of the fantastic team at the Northwest Maritime Center for hosting and organizing the event. As promised, I’ve attached here a summary of your feedback to our discussion questions. I’ve really enjoyed reading through your suggestions of stories to share, resources you’re proud of, and issues that are on your minds. We’ll use this input to help guide Maritime Washington in our storytelling, resources, and advocacy. If you have any additional input after reading through other folks’ ideas, please don’t hesitate to let me know. We encourage everyone to explore our new website <https://maritimewa.org/> to learn more about Maritime Washington, dive into stories from our shores, and plan your next maritime adventure. And, if your group or organization is interested in becoming a partner, please don’t hesitate to apply online <https://maritimewa.org/for-partners/> or reach out with any questions. We look forward to continuing to work with all of you to better celebrate, maintain, and share Jefferson County’s unique and vibrant maritime heritage! Best, Alex PS.
