3:35 Presentation from Sarah Jane of Nurse Family Partnership
Sarah Jane described the Nurse Family Partnership program, as well as changes over the
past few years and how the simultaneous crises our community experiences impacts home
visiting work. Watched a short video of a client’s success story, and then discussed ways the
community can support NFP clients, grocery cards and fuel cards were identified as being
particularly helpful.
NFP is open to anyone who is expecting their first child and meets certain eligibility criteria,
call JCPH for more information about getting connected with a home visiting nurse!

3:55 Discussed program updates:
• PT Survey implementation- we are at 81 responses so far, yay!
• Guiding Good Choices planning- tentative plan to host it on Tuesdays in November
at the Recovery Café.
• Family Reunification Day- happened on August 20, first time celebrating in Jefferson
County, great event that lifts up families reunifying after being part of the foster
care system.
• Overdose Awareness Day is on August 31 at the Cotton Building.
• Laura updated about Youth Cannabis Prevention Program mini-grants, details to
follow. Discussed youth dances and faith-based organizations hosting youth events.
• Discussed vaping prevention education, last week of September at Blue Heron
Middle School.
4:00 Reviewed action plan for 2022-2023
• Approved changes to programs
• Lindsay will update the action plan to reflect the 9-month contract period update
that just came in from Division of Behavioral Health and Recovery today, and send
the action plan and budget to the coalition’s grant manager for approval.
Discussed meeting timeline for Fall 2022.
• September: Annual Coalition Orientation
• October: Coalition Assessment Tool
• November: Review of CPWI Survey
• December: We will skip this month due to historic low attendance on meetings in
late December
