We are at 113 responses, our goal is 180. • Guiding Good Choices: Fall series scheduled for 5-tuesdays 11/8-12/6 at JCPH 615 Sheridan St Port Townsend WA 98368 • Medication Take Back: October 29 10am-2pm at the Port Ludlow Beach Club and the Quilcene fire station • Policy capacity building- collaboration with University of Washington COPHP MPH program. We would collaborate with grad students to assess community readiness for naloxone policy implementation in Jefferson county, which is on our action plan for 2022-2023. • CHIP Program Manager- great job opportunity with the Community Health Improvement Plan at JCPH! Spread the word, people can apply at the county website: https://www.co.jefferson.wa.us/Jobs.aspx • Holly shared updates about Vaping Prevention Education- Holly and Lindsay will be teaching this on Thursday 9/29 with 8th grade science classes at Blue Heron • COVID cases at Blue Heron are scaling down • LoLo shared a potential collaboration with the Rotary Interact club at PTHS, who may be interested in teaching the vaping prevention curriculum at Blue Heron. Lindsay, LoLo, and Holly will connect about teaching this and getting help from the Interact club to promote substance free campus, in the spring of 2023. • Jessica shared that the PTHS Intervention group is getting started, this will help students who are quitting vaping etc… to connect and support each other. • Sydney shared that the regional Youth Cannabis and Commercial Tobacco grant will be hosting their meeting 2pm 9/28/2022, all are welcome. This is a 4-session class, and participants will learn about budgeting, and get to practice budgeting, and receive $200 gift cards!
