• LoLo shared the Finnriver Community Bowls event, Saturday and Sunday 11/27 and 11/27
COMMUNITY BOWLS- Saturday & Sunday: 12PM - 5:30PM: Purchase pottery bowls
handmade by local potters to support local non-profits.
SOUP SHARE- Saturday & Sunday: 12PM - 5:30PM: free soup sponsored by Community
Partners.
• Holly McIlvaine shared information about Blue Heron’s student Turkey Trot happening
11/23.
Coalition Updates
• Olympic Region’s Youth Cannabis & Commercial Tobacco Prevention Program (YCCTPP),
Jefferson County Public Health is announcing a Mini-Grant cycle for 2022-2023. Learning

• OlyCAP Youth Team is currently recruiting young people with lived experience w/
substance use disorder (SUD) to participate in sharing their story in order to reduce the

• Lindsay shared that there is a Parenting Circle with Benji Project on Thursday evenings 7-
8:30pm at 280 Quincy st. This parenting circle focuses on supporting self-compassion
among parents, grandparents, and caregivers of 11-19 year olds.
• My Shoes My Story- Holly Gumm updated about events in Quilcene and Chimacum, this is
a canvas-sneaker art project to evoke issues most important to youth. Shoes are then put
on display for lawmakers in Olympia during prevention legislative week in February 2023.
Shoes are then returned to artists. Events upcoming include PTHS on December 8, and
Blue Heron tbd, and Brinnon tbd. Contact Holly Gumm for questions

• CPWI Survey- 220 responses so far, DBHR requires 180 from PT, so THANK YOU all for
helping the coalition succeed on this deliverable! Still seeking survey responses for the

either of those school districts, they can email lscalf@co.jefferson.wa.us a confirmation of
completing the survey and be entered in a raffle to win a $50 gift card! Raffle will be on

• Guiding Good Choices- Fall series is in progress! Tuesday evenings, November 8, 15, 22,
27, and December 6, 6:00-8:00pm. Thank you ALICIA of Parents for Parents for co-
facilitating for this second series!
4:10 Community Development project with Community-Oriented Public Health Practice Program
(COPHP)
• Discussion on project scope for overdose prevention policy capacity building
• Research will be initiated with a questionnaire coming out on 11/23, which will include
scheduling opt-in for stakeholder interviews. Please complete the questionnaire before
Saturday evening 11/26.
• Then fieldwork will be 11/28-12/2, students will be in Port Townsend in-person, and a
focus group on Friday 12/2.
