Ice breaker conclusion: Cats rule, but so do dogs. Jury is still out on stickbugs. SBHC visit breakdown from Dr. Bower: -Sports physicals/injuries: 60% -family planning: 15% -immunizations 10% -acute 8% -STI 5% Holly Gumm 2:40 Quilcene SAP report out Second Steps launch for 8th grade -Holly will connect with Alex and Sean Moss regarding creative ways the coalition can support financially Alex Dill 2:50 Strategic planning update. Moving into program implementation phase. Holly has completed SPORT training and is meeting with Coach Beathard this week to discuss implementation at the school. Holly Gumm 3:00 Advertising Strategies -Move forward with purchasing vinyl banner for coalition -Include Empowered Teens Coalition logos, Quilcene and Brinnon school districts (partner schools), Jefferson County Public Health (fiscal agent) along with the required HCA logo Holly Gumm Lindsay Scalf Denise Banker Laura Tucker Alex Dill Joe Nole Melinda Bower Greg Brotherton Drew Fechenbach Melanie Greer Tim McKern (our funder requires this). Mission statement included on banner. -Holly will connect with QSD and BSD to discuss school newsletters/mailers for distribution. -Chief McKern will post event flyers on Facebook Community Boards (I’ve Heard of Quilcene, and the Brinnon page). 3:10 Guiding Good Choices Discussion Guiding Good Choices will be offered in person at the Quilcene Community Center for 5 sessions beginning Tuesday, April 12th from 6-8PM. Virtual option on Wednesdays. Social media advertising will commence in March, along with other platforms. Holly Gumm 3:20 Drug Take Back Planning Quilcene Drug Take Back Event will occur from 10-2 on 4/30 in the Quilcene Fire and Rescue parking lot. Lock bags are available for distribution. A short questionnaire will be conducted prior to dispensing the lock bag with a follow up questionnaire in about 6 months.
