Lots of amazing programs!
Continuing to build rapport with students. Looking forward to
next year 😊
Second Steps appears to be received well by both students
and their families.
Communicated that Alex’s role as SAP is a grant-funded
fixture, not subject to budget changes at the school district
level.

Reviewed the continuum of care and the role the coalition
plays within it.

Coalition Naming workgroups felt a renaming of the coalition
to Quilcene-Brinnon Empowered Teens Coalition would be a
better representation of the communities served.

SPORT: Upcoming session 5/17 at Quilcene HS

Guiding Good Choices: Virtual option appears to be the
preferred platform. Will investigate other parent groups to
offer GGC (church groups, summer playground groups, etc)
Drug Take Back Event: Report Out- successful event!
8 lockable storage devices and 11 naloxone kits distributed.
Chief McKern shared that a life was saved that weekend with
administration of naloxone by QFR responders.

Show Us Your Community: Update: Event has been rebranded
as the Quilcene Resource Fair and Jeffco Repair Event. Event
takes place on Friday May 20th from 4:30-6:30 at QHS.

Music program @ Quilcene
Laura Tucker with the marijuana prevention grant at JCPH has
some spend down money to use prior to the end of June-
funder requires purchases such as
events/activities/experiences. Brainstorm ideas and bring
them to the June 7th meeting (or email them to me and I’ll
pass them along ahead of time)
