Commissioners,
I’m enclosing a copy of a “Letter to the Editor” that I just submitted to the PT Leader regarding Jefferson County Solid Waste’s proposal to double the minimum self-haul fee at the transfer
station.
I’ve also attached some supporting documents for your reference:
* “Tipping fee per ton in WA counties.pdf”
* “SW extract - BoCC enclosure.pdf” (two parts of the “WORKSHOP re Solid Waste Fee Schedule PW.pdf” from 2023-04-17 BoCC packet)
I have other concerns about how Solid Waste plans to use the increased revenue, but there’s a limit to the space allowed by the Leader; stay tuned.
I just wanted to give you a heads up, and show you the documentation that supports the facts that I stated in my letter.
